Murphy Andes Obituary Death, Car Accident: : Teen Killed, Another Injured in Highway 958 Rollover Crash

The Clinton community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 16-year-old Murphy Andes, who was killed in a tragic single-vehicle crash Friday evening in East Feliciana Parish.

According to Louisiana State Police, the crash happened around 5:30 p.m. on Highway 958 near Old Carney Road. Investigators say the vehicle was traveling through a left-hand curve when it failed to remain on the roadway. Authorities believe the driver then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to overturn multiple times.

Murphy Andes, who was reportedly wearing a seatbelt, suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased. Her sudden death has left family members, friends, classmates, and the broader Clinton community devastated as they struggle to process the loss of a young life taken far too soon.

The driver, a 17-year-old girl, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge. Officials say she is currently in stable condition.
